I create work at the intersection of history, art, fiction, and daily life—books, performances, and objects that explore memory, labor, community, and the boundaries of the human and natural worlds. My projects have ranged from an illustrated book Moss: A Love Story to installations like an adult-sized playhouse on a Norwegian mountainside.

Currently, I am building Spring Moon Design—a space for rare, nature-inspired objects, art, and writing.

My writing has appeared in The Journal of Architecture, New York Magazine, The Brooklyn Rail, e-flux Agenda and in scholarly volumes from Routledge and Berghahn. Documentation of my performance 4.5 Hours is part of the Mormon Feminist Art Collection at Brigham Young University.

I hold a PhD in History from New York University and have received fellowships from the Mellon Foundation, the DAAD, and the Social Science Research Council.
